Former Bigg Boss contestant Mandana Karimi has filed a domestic violence case against her husband, businessman Gaurav Gupta. The two tied the knot in a lavish ceremony on January 25th, but it looks like they’re facing unavoidable problems.
According to a report on Mid-Day, Mandana filed her petition at the Andheri magistrate court yesterday, asking for maintenance of Rs 10 lakh per month for her basic needs, necessities and requirements. She also asked for compensation of Rs 2 crore because of the trauma and agony she has gone through along with the loss of career and business.
The article elaborates on how Mandana was unhappy with Gaurav as he insisted she converts to Hinduism and asked to quit acting as it was “incompatible with his family’s status in the society“. When she resisted, he stopped her from entering their house. Mandana’s petition states that her mother-in-law harassed her too.
Here’s what she said about her problems –
I was thrown out of my matrimonial house seven weeks ago. I made desperate attempts to reconcile with them, but my in-laws didn’t allow me back. Gaurav has cut me off.
Stay tuned for more updates on this case.
