Aditya Roy Kapur had every girl drooling over him with those scintillating moves in Humma Humma from OK Jaanu. The actor hasn’t been seen around much since then but we hear he’s gearing up for his next and has been learning some dance moves from his mother. Did you know Aditya’s grandparents were dancers and were responsible for bringing Latin American dancing to India? The actor in an interview with Filmfare spoke about his younger days where he’d go to dance class only to look up girl’s skirts. (Um?) Here’s an excerpt.
My maternal grandparents were pioneers in the Latin American dancing. They brought the dance form to India. They taught all their lives, my mother has performed and taught Western and Indian classical dance. Half of Mumbai, including my brothers have learnt from her. They have even received their gold medals and certification. I was the stupid one who’d attend her class and look up the skirts of girls. The other day I was at an event when a girl came up to me. She told me that 25 years ago I was this irritating five-year-old boy in the class who’d pinch her ass and run.
We can only hope he knows better now.
