Like you’ve probably heard by now, there was a mix-up at the Oscars when La La Land was announced best picture – only for us to find out shortly afterwards that Moonlight had actually won. This confusion happened because the presenters were handed the wrong envelope: instead of being given the envelope for best picture, they got the one for best actress (which was Emma Stone in La La Land). As you can see, Warren Beatty looks confused when he opens the envelope, but Faye Dunaway went ahead and announced it:
