It’s not everyday that you are surrounded by successful, empowering women who have a vision and a strong will to accomplish all that they have ever desired, regardless of the obstacles in life. Reebok India curated one such evening to celebrate the struggles, dreams and triumphs of the unsung “women heroes” through their campaign- Be more human.
With the aim to celebrate women from different walks of life, who have overcome physical, mental and social barriers, Reebok felicitated them with the #FitToFight awards. One such woman is our very own boss lady, Malini Aggarwal, India’s first and most famous celebrity blogger. After all, how many of us have the determination to make our passion our work?!
Kangana Ranaut, the brand ambassador for Reebok, India was also present at the event and spoke about her association with the brand:
I have been immensely inspired by the stories of every woman present today. Scripted stories often tend to move us, but today every person has episodes as ‘real’ as it can get. And each is powerful enough to create a stir. I am happy to be associated with Reebok, who as a brand identify such harsh reality and celebrate the truth. I hope these stories will give wings to many other women and help them come out of their shell.
Well said, Kangana! Some of the other women who were rewarded at the event were Deepa Malik– India’s first female paralympics medallist, Geeta Tandon– an experienced stunt professional in Bollywood, who did not let domestic abuse by her husband deter her.
Kudos to Reebok for this initiative!
