Remember the infamous controversy ace comedian Kapil Sharma was embroiled in when he decided to quit Colours and take his show to Sony TV instead? The transition was questioned by all and people wondered if it would garner as much TRP as the show did on Colours, but as luck would have it, the show did just as well on Sony. So much, that the makers have decided to extend the contract for yet another year.
Sounds good, doesn’t it? Wait until you hear how much he’s going to be paid for it. Turns out the comedian has been signed on for a whopping Rs. 110 crores! Yup, you read that right – 110 crores! The channel reportedly didn’t mind the pocket pinch as Sharma’s show has been a beneficial venture for them and they don’t want to let it go.
We’re guessing Kapil wouldn’t want to let go of this either… and more so, we’re so glad this association continues. It just means more laughs every weekend 😀
