Ranveer Singh is known to take personal interest in the commercials and marketing of the brands he endorses. His latest association is with the popular Danish menswear brand Jack and Jones and their campaign is ‘Don’t hold back’.

However, the latest bilboard featuring the actor seems to have done some irreversible damage, as certain sections feel that it is insensitive towards the issue of sexual harassment of women at the workplace.
This is the poster that sparked a debate:

Twitterati was not too pleased with the ad campaign and attacked the brand for female objectification. Tamil actor Siddharth, known to be quite vocal against gender inequalities also expressed his ire through a tweet.
He wrote:
A new low for women’s rights in the workplace in India. What were they thinking? #Fail pic.twitter.com/3PW5mMaKOt

Now, according to a report in Mint, the ad was reported to the Advertising Standards Council of India, which forced the multinational company to withdraw the campaign.
They also reportedly apologised to the complainants and responded to Siddharth’s tweet as well.
Regret that one of our billboards has caused distress, we did not intend to offend anyone. #NOTHOLDINGBACK and withdrawing it immediately.
