You might be shining brightly in your festive best under all those lights and fireworks, but chances are, your insides are going to be screaming for a little TLC after all that partying. Grab a bottle of water, try these these five easy (and yummy) detox recipes to give your mind and body some lovin’ on the go.
(1) Cucumber Mint Detox Water
Add 15-20 slices of thinly peeled cucumber to a jug of water. Add 5-7 sprigs of mint and a sprinkle of sea salt. Shake it up and get moving.
(2) Apple Spice Detox Water
Combine 1 apple (thinly sliced), 2 sticks of cinnamon, and 3 cloves of star anise into a litre of water. Chill for a few hours and drink up.
(3) Warm Lemon Water
The simplest and most effective way to detox and boost metabolism every single day is by drinking warm lemon water in the morning before breakfast. This is an ancient Ayurvedic detox tradition that boosts the immune system, aids weight loss and improves digestion.
(4) Fat Burning Detox Water
Blend 1 liter of water, 2 tablespoons of apple cider vinegar, 1 tablespoon of fresh lemon juice, a teaspoon of ground cinnamon and a bit of honey if you want. Add thin slices of half an apple and chug chug chug!
(5) Coconut Pineapple Detox Water
Squeeze the juice of 2 limes into a liter of fresh coconut water. Add some fresh pineapple wedges and a stick of fresh sugarcane if you can get your hands on some. Cool for couple hours and enjoy!
