One of the most talked about B-town actresses, Kangana Ranaut recently commenced shooting for Hansal Mehta‘s next, Simran in the US. But unfortunately, she met with an accident while heading to her hotel in Atlanta from the sets after the shoot. She was accompanied by some of the crew members when this mishap occurred near Georgia.
A source told Hindustan Times:
“A local driver was behind the wheel and was driving in the leftmost lane (meant for fast-moving traffic) on highway 381. Suddenly, he started coughing profusely and then blacked out while on the move.”
Reportedly, Kangana’s bodyguard tried to control the steering at that point in time as he was seated next to the chauffeur. However, it was difficult for him to manage that from his position so the car ended up veering off too the left, jumping jumping three highway lanes before crashing into an iron fence. Thankfully, the local police reached the spot soon and gave everyone proper aid.
The insider also told the daily:
“Kangana had a few minor scratches on her elbows and her forehead that bled a little, but nothing major happened. Similarly, Kangana’s team members also suffered a few minor injuries. Later, the film’s makers ensured that Kangana and the others went to the hospital for checkups to ensure no one suffered from any internal injuries.”
Despite her own injury, Kangana made sure that everyone else was taken care of too. She also resumed her shoot from the very next day.
Producer Shailesh R Singh told HT: “It was a narrow escape. It’s a miracle that they had no injuries. Kangana is a brave girl. She refused to take a break and has resumed the shoot.”
You go, girl!
