23 Celebrities Who Refused To Be On Bigg Boss!

It’s that time of the year. The tenth season of the most anticipated, most talked about show will soon be upon us. Bigg Boss 10 is getting closer and we couldn’t be more excited! Every day, rumours about a certain celebrity participating in the show crop up, only adding to our excitement. The show is packed with drama, fun, break-ups, link-ups, laughter and most importantly, fights.

Yesterday we shared with you our list of the biggest fights on the show. It’s probably because of the unending fights and drama that accompany the show that some celebrities turned down the show despite being approached repeatedly. Bigg Boss has proved to be the claim to fame for many, but you’ll be surprised to know how many celebrities turned down the show.

Karan Singh Grover

Karan Singh Grover has appeared on Bigg Boss as a guest, but he expressed his disinterest about taking part in the show. He has a fair share of reality shows attached to his name but despite being approached for it, the heartthrob has made it clear that he won’t take part in this particular show. Reportedly, he doesn’t like the idea of being under public scrutiny 24/7. Whatever floats your boat, Karan!

Shiney Ahuja

This is interesting. Recently, a tentative list of participants did the rounds with Shiney Ahuja‘s name topping the list. Turns out, the actor refused when asked to be a part of the eighth season and went on to say that it’s time they stop asking him to participate in the show. Why so upset, Shiney?

Neha Dhupia

How fun would it be to see Neha Dhupia in the Bigg Boss house! She’s pretty, she’s witty and she seems pretty cool headed. As much as we’d love to see her on the show, this isn’t Neha’s choice of reality show, we hear.

Rannvijay Singh

Not out of disinterest, but out of lack of time Rannvijay Singh refused to contest in the show, SEVEN times! Apparently, he was asked for seven straight years but constantly said no because of all the work he has on his plate. He also went on to say that the show does not appeal to him at all.

Surveen Chawla

Surveen Chawla won many hearts during her time on this season’s Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa. We were quite sad when she got evicted and we’d love to see more of her on reality television. She would make for a fun (and not to forget, HOT) Bigg Boss contestant, but she shattered our hopes when she refused the ninth season of the show.

Mia Khalifa

Mia Khalifa was rumoured to be one of the Bigg Boss members, but she took to Twitter to rubbish all the rumours with a rather angry tweet.

Jackie Shroff

Jackie Shroff is synonymous with swag. He would totally kill it in the Bigg Boss house, but reports suggest that the actor was ready to host the show, not contest in it. Well, we can’t help but imagine Papa and beta, Tiger Shroff in the same house!

Evelyn Sharma

Evelyn Sharma has an interesting reason for turning down the show. If reports are to be believed, she wasn’t up for the show because she is claustrophobic and cannot be stuck in one house for too long. Well, she said what’s been playing on all our minds, didn’t she?

Honey Singh

Trust Honey Singh to turn the Bigg Boss house into a club in no time. Don’t get your hopes high – we hear that the rapper was asked to take part in Bigg Boss 6 and he declined the offer. Why, you ask? Apparently, he wasn’t happy with the money he was offered. As they say, it’s all about the money, honey!

Poonam Pandey

According to reports, Poonam Pandey was asked to do Bigg Boss 7 but the model turned actress was not promised the kind of money she asked. We hear Poonam asked for 3 crores but was offered only 2-2.5.

Shama Sikander

If reports are to be believed, TV actress Shama Sikander was offered the show several times and when she denied, she was asked if she’d like to be a wild card entrant. In an interview with Tellychakar, she implied that she didn’t quite like the format of the show by saying that she could earn money through other means, instead of compromising on her happiness quotient and that she cannot stand fights.

Mukul Dev

Ouch! This seems like the most brutal refusal yet. Actor Mukul Dev apparently took to Facebook to clarify that he is not interested in Bigg Boss.

It would cost me a degeneration of the last morsel of my ancestral values and a cold-blooded murder of my child’s respect for me to even be seen in a glimpse on that television show.

Aishwarya Sakhuja

Aishwarya Sakhuja became a household name after her stint as Toasty in Saas Bina Sasural. In a chat with Times of India, the actress said that she’s been offered the show in the past but she thinks it is too challenging. Well, given that she’s done Khatron Ke Khiladi, this should be a piece of cake for her!

KV Gautam

While most rise to popularity after Bigg Boss, here’s one celebrity who grabbed eyeballs by opting out of the show. Cartoonist and caricaturist KV Gautam took to Facebook to boldly reject the offer. He said that he would be a misfit on the show as he was the ‘intellectual type’. Uh, oh.

Kabir Bedi was rumoured to enter the upcoming season of Bigg Boss, but the veteran actor rubbished the false rumours via a social media post. He didn’t seem quite pleased about the speculations.

Uday Chopra told everyone that he’s never going to be one among the Bigg Boss contestants with a rather cool tweet.

Gaurav Gera

He may have not lasted too long on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, but we’re sure Gaurav Gera, aka Chutki/Shopkeeper, if given a chance, would kill it on Bigg Boss. So, we hear he was given a chance for the ninth season and he said no in typical Chutki/Shopkeeper style.

Parth Samthaan has been in the news for being romantically involved with ‘partner’ Vikas Gupta. While you may wonder if Parth would contest in Bigg Boss 10, he went on to answer the question that’s playing on all our minds and said that he fears that the stories about him and Vikas will resurface, which is why he thinks its best to stay away from the show.

Shivin Narang

Remember Shivin Narang of Veera fame? Apparently, the actor was approached for the ninth season but was of the opinion that Bigg Boss is a spicy show and he may not have the time for the show.

Prachi Desai

Prachi Desai‘s career kickstarted with TV, so it would be quite fun to see her hit the small screen again. And what’s better than Bigg Boss to mark your comeback on TV? Turns out, Prachi doesn’t share the same opinion. The actress was rumoured to contest in the ninth season of the show, but she put all the rumours to rest, and broke our hearts.

Sana Saeed

We saw her on Nach Baliye and on Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa, and we loved her in both. Sana Saeed has just the right amount of spunk and drama that Bigg Boss needs, but the gorgeous actress reportedly opted out of the show when approached, because she had other commitments. Hmm.

Mahhi Vij

Mahhi Vij‘s favourite show is Bigg Boss but reports suggest that the actress refused to be a part of it solely because she thinks that leaving your family behind is quite a daunting task, something that she would never do. Aww!

Shweta Basu Prasad

Bigg Boss loves controversy and controversy is equally attracted to Bigg Boss. Rumours were rife that Shweta Basu Prasad, who was infamously involved in a prostitution racket would take part in the show. However, the actress rubbished the rumours and asked everyone not to believe anything of that sort.

Radhe Maa

Imagine the increased entertainment quotient if Godwoman Radhe Maa would have been one of the inmates of the Bigg Boss house! Well, it seems she was approached for the ninth season but decided against it. She went on to say that she had no knowledge about reports that claimed that she would be a participant.
