I might be an odd duck in the fashion fraternity for saying this but every season I find that Textile Day, to me, is the most enjoyable. Maybe it’s because it’s the most unassuming of days or maybe it’s because it has less to do with the designer and most to do about the material and craft. Day 2 of Lakme Fashion Week saw a mix of traditional handloom, handwoven saris and contemporary #ReadyToWear, and we had a blast watching the day unfold. From monochrome to a neutral palette and print to bright colours, today saw the length and breadth of the scene, in terms of inspiration. Even the silhouettes featured both flowy layering and structured fit, depending on the aesthetic of the designers in question. Here’s a round up!

From the soundtrack to the lighting, everything about this show was designed to make an impact. Although Kallol’s collection had some black and grey, its the blues that caught our attention.
