Ladies and gents! How are you doing? For those of you who are back to read my blog, thank you very much! And for those of you who are here for the first time, aapka hardhik swaagat hai 🙂
SO, who watched Kyaa Kool Hain Hum 3? ? Right, judging by the box office results upon its release, I’m guessing not many! But I’ll be honest, I expected the film to do a whole lot better. And I am NOT making any excuses, but I do believe that the censor board really stuffed up our film. If I could only share the original script and the original footage of what was shot… it was very, very funny. But alas, if only the industrywallahs made a big hoohah about the cuts ordered by the almighty censor board and their band of intelligent people like they did *cough* for a certain film on the drugs problem in Punjab, then maybe the fate of the film would have been different.
What about the people who HAVE seen it then? Well, when I spoke to friends and friends of my friends, it was hilarious. One fellow said to me: “You were committed to the role. So that was good.” Another person placed his hand on my shoulder, gave me that look you give to people at a funeral and said with a sombre tone, “It’s OK.” Another person who I wanted to uppercut asked me, “Why did you do such a film?” All I could do then was laugh.
I will be honest though: I am still human, so I did feel a bit upset at what was said to me. BUT, then the bigger picture came into my mind. I am a bloke from the UK who got to be a part of a big banner film without having any filmy connections, without having a godfather from the industry, without doing any favours (sexual or otherwise). All I did was work hard and not give up. So I feel very blessed to have had this experience of working with a group of fabulous actors and I am proud to have my name attached to this film.
Remember in my last blog entry I spoke about that new web series that I was filming for? Well that was delayed but just last week I was informed that the series will be releasing this month. So stay tuned for more updates from me. Its going to be a cracker (hopefully).
In terms of my new work, if you have been watching the Bindass channel you may have seen me in a new show called Girl In The City. It’s a great series that is airing both on the TV and the internet. Online, the show has gotten over 25 millions views so far! You can watch the show here, so please do have a watch and leave any comments. It’s got a great cast including the talented Mithila Palkar (who plays Imran Khan’s sister in Katti Batti) and Rajat Barmecha (from Udaan).
Also, the play that I am touring with Lillette Dubey, Gauhar, is going from strength to strength. We are taking it to the UK in October, then most likely to Pakistan and onwards to the US next year! We went on tour with it recently and I made a couple of vlogs to share with you all.

Keep on smiling and shining and never give up!
