While I’ve been in Delhi covering India Couture Week 2016 I’ve missed quite a bit of action with regard to all the Bollywood bombshells who have been out and about flaunting their personal style none more so than the pretty Jacqueline Fernandez. So when I spotted her in this lovely lehenga by Arpita Mehta I called dibs in a flash. Stylist Shaleena Nathani who’s really had her hands full between dressing Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma and Jacqueline, picked this cool lehenga for Jacqs’ appearance on Jhalak Dikkhla Jaa. Even the embellishments on the whole outfit were super muted and the graphically floral print is always a win. She accessorised with a necklace from Diamantina Fine Jewels and a single bangle from Jaipur Gems. The lehenga though, was so contemporary-looking that it struck us that it can be worn as separates too! Think about it for a second… the choli pretty much looks like a crop top with a cape detail that we think would look fab with leather leggings or some such. Similarly, the white skirt with flower motifs can be paired with anything from a tee to a shirt or even a kurta. I don’t know if you can sense my excitement but I LOVE versatility in pieces of clothing.
In addition, Vardan Nayak and Priyanka Borkar joined hands to create a stunning look that incorporated a fucshia pink lip and a winged eye with a braid and stylised fringe. Love it!
