I’m not sure when it happened exactly, but I’ve been smitten by Ranveer Singh for a while now. I don’t know what it is about him – his charm, his great acting talent, his unmatched sense of humour, his sick dance moves, his love for Deepika Padukone, his obsession with Nutella or his unique sense of style – something about him just clicks. And it clicks in a way that you can’t help but be engulfed by the energizer-bunny-level power that is Ranveer Singh.
Here’s my little attempt to delve into the man – the A to Z of Ranveer Singh.
A for Ainvayi Ainvayi
Band Baaja Baaraat released on 10th December 2010 – and just like that, a star was born!
B for Best Boyfriend Ever
I feel like a lot of us are still single because we know that no matter what, Deepika Padukone has the best boyfriend ever and ours will just not be good enough in comparison.
C for Chingaaaaa
Ranveer Singh does the best ads.
D for #DoTheRex
Like I said, Ranveer does the best ads!
E for Eye Candy
I feel like this is self explanatory.
F for “Fashion Rulebook, who?”
There’s nothing Ranveer can’t pull off. He’s not only questioned fashion rules, he has openly flouted them!
G for Gunday
Did you know Gunday was his first biggest commercial success?
H for Hero
I absolutely love that he’s gone on record to say that he grew up watching Amitabh Bachchan, Anil Kapoor and Govinda, and always wanted to be a “Bollywood hero” as opposed to a “Bollywood actor.”
I for Interviewer’s Delight
When you’re intervieiwng Ranveer Singh, you know he’s paying attention to you. He genuinely cares about your question and is keen on having a conversation with you. It’s an absolute joy!
J for Joy
Yep. He IS joy!
K for Krish-Costumed #BangBangDare
Remember Hrithik Roshan‘s #BangBangDare? Ranveer OWNED it!
Another shining moment was Ranveer’s Taher Shah Dubsmash for Hrithik Roshan
L for Lootera
Lootera proved that there’s nothing Ranveer can’t do. Since then we’ve loved him in Ramleela, Bajirao Mastani, Dil Dhadakne Do, among others.
M for Mastani
I am emotionally invested in the #DeepVeer relationship – no, really!
N for Nutella
“Nutella se bass mood banaa rehta hai” – Ranveer Singh
O for “OMG FAWAAAAAD!”
<3 <3 <3
P for Peshwa Bajirao
Ranveer worked his ass off for Bajirao Mastani – often referred to his career-best performance. He trained for eight hours everyday to get various aspects of his character right- two hours of physical training, four hours of horse riding lessons and two hours of speech and accent training. He also completely transformed his look for the movie and well, the results are there for everyone to see!
Q for Qyoootie Patootie
Just look at him!
R for Roast
Shared glory with Arjun Kapoor and Karan Johar, of course. But how many mainstream Bollywood celebs would’ve done that?
S for Sex Bomb
Reason for dirty thoughts since 2010.
T for Tattad Tattad
Signature Step Win – Check!
U for Unconventional
From his looks to his films to his fashion picks – there’s nothing conventional about him. And yet, it all works. It all works like pure magic!
V for Versatile
He is as Bittoo (Band Baaja Baaraat) as he is Ricky (Ladies Vs Ricky Bahl) as he is Varun (Lootera) as he is Bikram (Gunday) as he is Dev (Kill Dil) as he is Kabir (Dil Dhadakne Do) as he is Bajirao (Bajirao Mastani)…
W for Whackky
Do I need to explain this one?
Y for Yash Raj Films
Ranveer is a YRF find. Thank you casting ninja, Shanoo Sharma. His next with the banner is Befikre!
Z for Zest For Life
Happy birthday, Ranveer Singh! You make my heart ting!
