Karan Johar has always said how much he has been wanting to work with Aishwarya Rai Bachchan. Both of them have been in the industry for very long but have never gotten a chance to work with each other. Aishwarya was offered KJo’s Kuch Kuch Hota Hai and Kabhie Khushi Kabhie Gham and she told HT why she rejected them.
I couldn’t do KKHT because I was shooting for Aa Ab Laut Chalein. I was on a 40-day schedule in the US. It was Chintu uncle’s first film as a director. I’m a fan of his, and I looked up to him. I just couldn’t mess things up with him… He narrated the story (of K3G) and told me about the character, but we didn’t end up working together. We almost worked on another movie, but that too didn’t take off. He narrates stories of most of his films to me… he is family.
