If you want to see something heartwarming and inspiring today, this is it – the folks over at CauseEffect have just released a new video where they interview a bunch of families about the joys and challenges about parenthood. There are some interesting and relatable answers in there, but it’s only towards the end of the video that you’ll learn an important lesson. We don’t want to say too much, so just watch it below:
Priyanka Bose, who is the producer of this video, says:
This is the first time a film like this, a PSA about World Down Syndrome Day, has been conceptualized in India based on facts derived from an impromptu social experiment. This simple, warm dialogue strives to challenge the biases in people’s minds and the misconceptions about what they think Down Syndrome is. The aim of this film is to change mindsets. We want to provoke thought and encourage meaningful discussion, not just elicit empathy.
And isn’t that what’s most important? To encourage meaningful discussion, and to help people examine their misconceptions and realise that, at the end of the day, many of the joys of family remain the same, regardless of the situation.
What do you think of the video?
