It was a serious thought that closed day 1 at AIFW Autumn Winter ’16. With global warming and pollution turning the tables on humankind, Gaurav Gupta seemed to have channelled the strain into a strong collection with his signature aesthetics. The models emerged stark out of dark smoke and looked like goddesses taking flight. Moving his brand story further with his boning and embroidered details, the show was dramatic in terms of the treatment on the garments. Long stately figures glided across the runway in total command.
Here are a few pictures from the show.

Embroidery that looked like melted metal and torsos with boning details brought the structured drapes in the garments to life. Check out some of our Instagram shots and videos from the show!
