Manish Malhotra designed her bridal outfit, for the wedding as well as the reception. We decided to ask him a little bit about what went down while coming up with her look, here’s what he had to say…
Her (Urmila’s) wedding is very special. When she told me she was getting married, I was pleasantly surprised but I was very happy for her. I have known Mohsin for couple of years as he was a model, then actor, and now he does embroidery in Kashmir
About the outfit, he says…
We made a bespoke lehenga within a week’s time, from my ‘The Regal Threads’ collection, in silks and Banarasi brocade. Since it was a day wedding, (we made) a soft pink dupatta to soften the beautiful traditional look. The antique gold lace at the end of the dupatta made it complete and new.
Sigh…wouldn’t it be absolutely amazing to get dressed by Manish for your wedding? Hey, a girl can dream.
