The small period between Autumn/Winter and Spring/Summer is an interesting time for style, and though we can’t fully embrace winter fashion (you feel me fellow tropical babies?), we sure can pick and choose some trends that are not so heavy on the layering. We spotted designer, Victoria Beckham bustling around New York as she gears up for fashion week, of course, in a perfect example of the kind of style that our mildly, nippy weather will allow. Check it out:
In Colour
A couple of days ago she strolled out in this lovely orange-yell0w polo sweater and a long, retro printed skirt with chunky block-heel boots. Even though we can’t see her pretty face behind those oversized signature sunglasses, it’s refreshing to see the designer in colour!

And just yesterday, she was spotted yet again in another oversized polo neck jumper (in a neutral grey colour this time) and a pair of divine black culottes. Being Victoria Beckham and having an exquisite sense of style, she knew not to pair the culottes with flats or dangerously high stilettos. Instead chose a chunky wedge heel boot, again. This way she got height and mass to balance the wide leg of the pants. Genius!
So basically, what we’re saying is that you guys should take a tip or two from the queen of style from over the pond! And remember, the lesson here is: it doesn’t have to be figure hugging to be stylish. Can I get a hell yeah?
