As a bride, you’d think finding a venue, planning your outfit, honeymoon and sending out invitations would be the few things you need to worry about. But the best part about the whole affair, the one thing (apart from the groom) that makes it all better, is the trousseau you get to take to your new home with you. To be really honest, if I agreed to get married today, it would be for whatever is in that trousseau. I’m only kidding! But on a more serious note, while the end result is amazing, there’s is whole list of things that go into a trousseau. Here’s everything you need to add to it to make it perfect…
1. A few gorgeous traditional outfits
These involve saris, anarkalis, kurtas and even palazzo pants for more fusion events you may need to attend once you’re married.

2. Versatile shoes
This means heels AND flats. Pick neutral colours that go with everything and a few juttis too!
3. Clutches and handbags
Like the shoes, you’ll need both types. Now don’t go overboard here. You need neutral clutches and maybe one neutral and one statement handbag that will take care of all your needs.
4. Everlasting jewellery
This part is important so read up! As a modern bride, you’re curating your own wedding and you know exactly what you want. Something classy, chic and obviously everlasting. You want jewellery that reflects your style and it’s timeless so it goes with anything. Platinum Evara has what you’re looking for. It’s precious, made of eternal metal and versatile enough to fit your every need.

5. Makeup
This is one of my favourite parts. It’s time to stock up on your favourite lipsticks, foundations and mascaras!
You could also add nightwear, lingerie, swim and workout wear to that list – basically everything you’ll need and use to start your new journey! Once you’ve managed to get all these in one place, remember, don’t just dump it all in that suitcase. Packing your trousseau is something you should share with your mum and sisters too!
