Okay, this just got murky. Sunjay Kapur just filed a fresh divorce petition in the Bandra family court.
The petition states that Karisma Kapoor married Sunjay for the money “in a calculated and clinical manner” to pursue a lavish lifestyle. It also claims that the marriage happened on the rebound after she broke up with Abhishek Bachchan. It goes on to state that “…The respondent [Karisma] has failed not only as a wife and daughter-in-law, but also as a mother”. The couple has two kids together – Samaira and Kiaan – whose custody is at the centre of a court battle currently. According to Sunjay, Karisma even “cruelly deprived” Sunjay’s ailing father access to Samaira and Kiaan, and he passed away six months back “while pining for them”.
Like this wasn’t enough, the petition alleges that after their marriage didn’t work out, Karisma tried to portray him as an alcoholic cheating husband, when in reality, it was she who was having an affair outside marriage.
That escalated quickly.
