Have you guys been keeping up with Mastizaade? If you have, you’ll notice that they’re using Riteish Deshmukh‘s name during the promotions of the film. In fact, director Milap Zaveri has even gone on record to say that “no one can beat Riteish Deshmukh in sex comedy,” thus making it seem like the actor has a big part to play in the film.
However, it turns out that this isn’t sitting well with Riteish, who just took to Twitter to lash out at the makers and express his disappointment:
As you can tell, Riteish has a rather small part to play in Mastizaade, and, from the looks of it, it seems like he didn’t want his name being used in the promotions. He is fairly close to the director, so it may have been something he did simply as a favour. In fact, in an earlier interview, director Zaveri also said, “When I met him, I told him that I know you don’t want to do it, but as a friend, I need you to do this film. It’s just his generosity that he did the film, he did it because of our friendship.”
Sad turn of events! We wonder what the makers of Mastizaade will have to say about this.
