Yes December means weddings and parties. But it also means music festivals – which honestly, is a giant party that extends over 2-3 days. When it comes to your outfits for these festivals, you can be anything from boho, to rocker chic or even just simple and relaxed. Since the Bacardi Enchanted Valley Carnival has been marked on my calendar for some time now, I decided to hunt for some outfit inspiration and found a bunch of celebrities whose outfits really belong at a festival. Take a look, and don’t forget to take notes!
1. Deepika Padukone
We have all the elements of a great festival look here. She’s incorporated tan, fringe and a bright colour in her outfit and worn it with brogues and a silver statement necklace – all festival favourites.
2. Esha Gupta
Before I say anything about Esha’s outfit, remember that it’s never ok to wear heels to a music festival. But wear her dress with a pair of sneakers and you’ve hit the festival jackpot. All you need is a cute little bum bag to hold all your stuff.
3. Kangana Ranaut
A fuss free look is perfect for this kind of an event. You don’t have anything you need to adjust, and nothing is falling out of place. And look, Kangana’s got on the sneakers I was just talking about.
4. Alia Bhatt
If you’re not in the mood to leave your legs exposed, or if you just haven’t had a wax, distressed denims are your best bet. If you do have a pair of overly distressed ones like Alia Bhatt, a festival is an ideal place to wear them. Remember, it might get cooler at night and a light coverup, like her shirt, is always a good idea.
5. Anushka Sharma
Black at a festival is always a great option. It doesn’t get dirty easily and even if it’s all crumpled, it doesn’t always show. Pair your blacks with some layered necklaces like Anushka Sharma and a fringed cape and you’re good to go.
6. Aditi Rao Hydari
Maxis are a festival favourite. But remember not to go climbing on someone’s shoulders when you’re wearing one. Pair yours with a washed denim jacket and a leather backpack like Aditi Rao Hydari.
7. Sonam Kapoor
If you’re not in the mood for black, wear a solid coloured maxi like Sonam Kapoor. What I love about this is the off-shoulder sleeves and how she chose to carry her fringe in the form of a tote instead of wearing some. Those Lennons = #FestivalGoals!
I can’t decide which look I’m going to wear but at least there are so many options now! Are you heading to #BEVC15? Want to be part of our festival tribe? We’re giving away free passes everyday!
