Ever since Aamir Khan spoke about how he felt regarding the growing intolerance in India, he has been recieving lots of flak from the public, politicians and Bollywood celebrities. However, there are also some people who stand by him and agree with his views, few of them being Jackie Shroff, Farah Khan and A.R. Rahman.
Farah Khan said,
I just want to say that there is no ‘intolerance’ but when somebody has a point of view everybody jumps on him and attacks him. That is the very definition of ‘intolerance.’ So, it’s ironic that we say ‘how can you say we are intolerant’.
Rahman said,
Any type of revolt should be classical. It is becoming very poetic rather than people people hitting each other. We should set an example because we come from the land of Mahatma Gandhi. We have shown the world how revolution can be done without violence. I have gone through something similar some time ago. And at that time, I had also mentioned that nothing should be violent. We are ultra-civilised people. It is a chaotic protest. We should show the world that we are one of the most civilised cultures.
While everyone has a point of view here, what do you guys have to say?
