his status for more than a year
” and tried to keep the medical news a secret, but the friends he had trusted with the diagnosis started leaking the information. That led to several of Charlie’s former partners contacting him and threatening a lawsuit because they were unaware of his status.

and ex-partner
Natalie Kenly
were aware of his condition and came to his defense, saying that he wouldn’t put the women in danger knowingly. Denise has also said that she and her children are tested and not H.I.V. positive.
