The Chhatrapati Shivaji Terminus lit up in the colours of the French Flag to show India’s solidarity with the victims of dreadful Paris attacks that occurred a few days ago. A spokesperson from the Indian Railways stated that:
The world stands with Paris at this moment. Since the 26/11 attacks were of a similar nature and the CST station was also targeted then, the Central Railways has decided to stand by France in this moment of grief and express its support. The CST station will be illuminated with the French flag from between 7 pm and 11 pm.

Though the gesture was remarkable, the CST got the colours wrong. A lot of countries lit up their iconic buildings in the colours of the French Flag convey that France is not alone in this fight.
