After nearly a decade, celebrity designer Rohit Bal showcased his coveted designs at The Oberoi Hotel in Dubai on Saturday and boy, was it worth the wait! The trunk show, brought to Dubai by The Glam Closet’s Ayesha Chopra and Nira Mapara, featured pieces from Bal’s latest collection Husn-e-taa’iraat, as well as from his prêt line, Balance. What had us most excited, however, were the gorgeous pieces designed exclusively for his clientele here in Dubai.
Keeping in mind the aesthetics and preferences of the region, a capsule collection has been made especially for Dubai, shares Bal. Well, thank you, Mr. Bal, we’re honored!
As fashionistas from all around town gathered to get their couture fix, Bal stopped by as well for a meet & greet with clients. Charming as ever, he offered one-on-one advice and style tips as clients tried on his ethereal pieces. (Reason enough to fly down from India next time there’s a show, don’t you think?)

While the brand does not currently retail out of any boutiques in Dubai, Bal is open to the idea of a store-in-store, should any interesting opportunities arise. Until then, hoping to see the maestro and another gorgeous collection back in Dubai soon! (Please don’t make us wait another decade!)
