Personally, I love well-made ads. Especially, if they tell a cool story in an edgy manner. So imagine my disappointment when I saw the latest Dabur Honey ad!
So the woman is losing weight apparently because she drinks warm water with honey and her husband is strangely flustered by that because she’s looking nicer, it seems. Before leaving the house, the wife asks “kaisi lag ri hoon main” and the husband replies saying “lovely.” However, he then comes rushing to her and places her mangal sutra on her t-shirt so that it’s visible to everyone. Yup, the message for everyone out there is that “she’s taken”. You might as well pee around her to mark your territory, man!
Like that wasn’t enough, the wife actually gets happy by this extremely sexist gesture and goes “jealous husbands kitne cute lagte hain na?”
