Five days of Amazon India Fashion Week came and went by in a flash – make sure you read all our updates here. Amidst beautiful clothes, some stunning beauty trends and all that Delhi street-style, we spotted cool accessories that ruled the runway, and we can’t wait to get our hands on some of them! Take a look…
Gladiators at Shivan & Narresh, Hemant & Nandita
If you were at the fashion week, you would have noticed that at least 75% of the attendees sported a pair of gladiators, laced all the way up to their knees. The ramp saw a bunch of them too. From dominatrix vibes at Shivan & Narresh to more bohemian at Hemant & Nandita and Payal Jain, there was a pair for everyone.
Wraps & Bracelets at Anamika Khanna, Dolly J
Bracelets can be pretty standard – gold, silver or coloured, you rarely ever see anything new. Anamika Khanna‘s athleisure collection had what looked like ribbon and shoelace wrapped around her models’ wrists while at Dolly J – I can’t even describe them, you’ll need to take a look.
Backpacks at Payal Jain, Péro
We’ve all seen those sporty backpacks that have suddenly been taken out from school and worn on the street. It was a bit different at Payal Jain and Péro. With tribal prints, fringe and tassels, Payal Jain’s hipster bags were a hit. On the other side, Aneeth Arora of Péro presented (or re-introduced) those rope bags you carried to sleepovers throughout your childhood.
Face jewellery at Samant Chauhan
Take our advice and DON’T actually wear this on your face! Samant Chauhan‘s dramatic accessories could have very well been ornate necklaces worn on the models’ faces. Another way to wear these is as a hair accessory – with A LOT of pins to secure it.
Stay tuned, we have a full trend report coming your way and some great street-style for your #OOTD inspiration!
