I’m a total bohemian at heart, but that doesn’t mean I don’t love my ripped skinny jeans and denim shorts. But, it’s summer, especially in India, when the temperatures are a constant 30 degrees and the humidity has us hating on our favourite pair of skinnies. It’s time to switch it up. For those days when you just feel like lounging around but still want to look put together with a touch of sophistication – loose silhouette bottoms for the summer will be your haven. These include harem pants, palazzo pants, and culottes! These pants are versatile enough to wear year round but what will take your palazzo pants outfit to summer-worthy? It’s pretty simple….Colours and prints! Trust me, when you have colours and prints working for you, you’ll forget all about those fitted pants.
Here are 10 outfit inspirations to convince you that skinny jeans aren’t all that….

The classic, solid color, bright bottoms are perfect for when you can’t decide which part of your outfit should really take centre stage. Bright bottoms are enough to speak on its own but allow room for more attention grabbing pieces to be paired with as well. This is the perfect opportunity for you to hop on the crop top trend! You can wear wide legs for daytime or evening. You can go casual or tailored or boho… it just depends on what you like and what looks good on you. Well, there’s good news for all of you pear-shaped gals who’ve been mourning the death of wide-legged jeans and pants… they’re coming back. And, I want to point out that wide-legged trousers can be used to balance all kinds of “flaws” other than big hips. Culottes and palazzos are also good for balancing wide shoulders, big tummies, broad backs, and big butts. It just takes a little practice and creativity to get the proportions right.
