Transgenders have been recognised as the third gender in India. Today, they can pick a profession of their choice and study while the government provides them education quotas. This year, on the occasion of the 69th Independence Day, Yathartha Pictures created a video with Hijras singing the national anthem of India. In this beautiful video, the Hijras show how their right to choose a profession is equal to those of Indian men and women.
