It’s been 21 years since Hum Aapke Hain Koun released, 21 years since we decided how much we love our familes (including our relatives) and 21 years since weddings became a BIG DEAL in India! HAHK is one of the few movies that anyone and everyone will inevitably watch if it’s coming on TV (usually on Sundays) and sing along to the songs, however ridiculous they may seem to be now (Dhiktana Dhiktana, never understood what that means). That’s why when this wonderful Twitter account – Mumbai Heritage tweeted a picture of the film opening in Liberty cinema in 1994, I had to put it up here!

Look at the crowds outside! The hoopla this movie created is stuff legends are made of. Oh, and one more thing, Hum Aapke Hain Koun also made me rather scared of stairs for quite a while. *Lo chali main*
