Aarthi Agarwal made her acting debut at the age of 16 in her first ever Bollywood film Pagalpan. Unfortunately, her career didn’t quite take off and she moved down south where she made her debut in the Telegu film Nuvvu Naaka Nachav in 2001 and consequently went on to act in hits such as Nuvvu Leka Nenu Lenu, Indra and Vasantham with stars such as Chiranjeevi, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna. An official of the Movie Artistes’ Association was reported saying,
“From 2008 to 2015, she worked in only four films and was almost forgotten. I think she had put on a lot of weight and decided to undergo surgery.”
This is what took Aarthi to U.S.A. Aarthi’s manager was quoted in an IANS report saying,
“Aarthi was battling obesity and pulmonary illness. She was undergoing treatment and due to some complications, she suffered a cardiac arrest and passed away.”
Aarthi was declared dead at only 31 years of age in a hospital in Atlanta, after respiratory problems caused by a liposuction surgery resulted in cardiac arrest. It was only on Friday that her latest film Ranam 2, was released across theatres all over Telangana and Andhra Pradesh. Another life, gone too soon.
