The Bhatts have more often than not struck gold whenever they have boasted of a strong woman protagonist for their films. Aashiqui 2, Raaz 3, Murder, Jism and of course Arth are a few examples of that. No wonder, when they arrive with their latest offering Hamari Adhuri Kahani, all eyes are on how the film turns out to be. After all, with Vidya Balan as the leading lady in one of her most emotional roles ever, the film is already in the news.
However, what is also notable is the fact that Emraan Hashmi is reinventing himself with this film where he has a strong part to play. No wonder, producer Mukesh Bhatt is supremely confident of the film striking a chord. Still, one can’t deny the fact that even though no one is challenging his standing as a performer, commercially Emraan is going through a rough patch. However, Mukesh Bhatt has this to say,
“Come on, there would be low tides and high tides. Salman Khan and Aamir Khan too went through such a phase. Emraan is no different and he too has had his share now. After a low, there are going to be high tides. Mera Naam Joker ke baad Raj Kapoor be Bobby banai thi naa? You would see how Emraan bounces back with Hamari Adhuri Kahani.”
So while Emraan and Mohit Suri continue to be the Bhatts’ blue eyed boys, Vishesh Films continue to give breaks to many other newcomers as well. What keeps the brothers going? Mukesh Bhatt says with a chuckle,
“We have the talent to spot talent. Vishesh Films is an institution that has given breaks to so many out there. So whether it is actors or directors or singers or composers or lyricists – there are so many people who have benefitted from their association with Vishesh Films. We have made stars in cast as well as technicians, and that too in every department. That is our strength.”
We won’t deny that!
