Shuddhi has finally has found its lead pair! This long delayed project had all the top actors and actresses names attached to it, but now it’s official that Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt will essay the main roles. But before the movie releases, let’s rank the couples who were considered to play the leads, because it’s fun!
6) Aamir Khan – Deepika Padukone
It was rumoured that Aamir Khan was offered the role after Hrithik Roshan dropped out of it and Deepika Padukone was always rumoured to be attached to the movie after Kareena Kapoor‘s exit. While I know both of them are fantastic actors, I’m not really sold on Deepika and Aamir as a pair yet.

They look lovely together, but in my heart Shah Rukh Khan belongs to Kajol, at least on-screen!

I think Varun and Alia look adorable together (much more than Alia and Sidharth Malhotra), that’s why I’m rather happy with this conscious coupling!

It’s been years since they’ve done a movie together! Shuddhi gave us hope, but even this chance slipped out of our hands.

I really think Deepika and Salman Khan have a lot of untapped chemistry! Did you see them at this year’s Filmfare Awards? Know what I mean right? If not Shuddhi, these two really need to do another movie together, ASAP!
