Best known as Pandit from the popular youth show, Kaisi Yeh Yaariyan, Dishank Arora is one of the hottest men on television today. The actor also made waves with his impressive performances in Yeh Hai Aashiqui, Pyaar Tune Kya Kiya, Pukaar – Call For The Hero and Zindagi Wins. So I decided to pin him down for a quick chat on his journey so far. When I asked him if acting was always in his game plan, he narrated his journey so far and what he shared will definitely inspire you!
Well, I started working when I was 18. My first job was at McDonald’s. I wanted to be self-dependent and I never wanted to join my dad’s business. So I took up my first job while doing my graduation. I studied Bachelor of Business Administration. My dad was against my decision to work so early as he wanted me to concentrate on my studies. But I had to do what I had to do. Then I was working at a BPO in Gurgaon and somehow I ended up participating in the Guess: Faces To Watch contest amongst 75 countries. There were top 10 male contestants from India and I happened to be one of the top 3 ones from our country! I loved the experience and my friends suggested that I should try my luck in acting. I shifted my base to Mumbai and the rest is history.
