So one of my best friends had been telling to watch Neil deGrasse Tyson‘s documentary – Cosmos A Spacetime Odyssey since last year and I finally managed to catch a couple of episodes. Needless to say my mind has BLOWN after finishing like four episodes in one day, that’s why I decided to geek out and put up 20 amazing pictures of our universe, because why not? Seriously, every space-geek will get suitably turned on after looking at these beauties!
1) Here’s looking at NGC 3603!
Located 20,000 light-years away in the constellation Carina in the Milky Way, NGC 3603 contains a central cluster of huge, hot stars that look rather… HOT!
2) An artist’s interpretation of a giant moon!
Oh my.
3) This Nebula was so pretty, they put a ring on it!
And called it Ring Nebula!
4) Jupiter’s G-spot is surprisingly easy to find!
And very powerful when unleashed on people who cannot handle it’s epicness.
5) The Galactic Core ignites the fire inside us…
So powerful… so passionate!
6) The Mystic Mountain adds to the mystery…
Of the Universe’s sexiness!
7) Ever seen prettier eyes?
Ever?
8) Has Saturn looked MORE colourful?
Like a rainbow!
9) This is a picture astronaut Sam Cristoforetti took of our beautiful blue planet!
No place like home eh?
10) And this is a picture of our wonderful home from the moon!
So this is how the sight will be when we go #ToTheMoon you guys!
11) This is an artist’s impression of our good old asteroids doing the rounds.
Just chilling in space, going here and there.
12) Look at the Goddess of Love!
Look how she shines for you!
13) Mars really looks like an angry planet doesn’t it?
Always red.
14) I’m sure scientists regret giving this planet the name- Uranus after looking at this gorgeous picture!
I mean no one would legit say UR-anus is gorgeous now would they?
15) Look at Ganymede, peeping out of the massive Jupiter!
It’s quite an underrated moon of this gas giant, isn’t it?
16) This is a representative image of Neptune had it been as close to earth as the moon is.
We were robbed of this beautiful sight! I blame the Big Bang.
17) And this is an artist’s take of Saturn being as close to earth as the moon is.
Seriously, can we please change the order of the solar system? I need to see this IRL!
18) Here’s what Jupiter would look like if humans start living in it’s moon – Europa.
According to various researches and scientists, Europa and Saturn’s moon Titan seem to be the only planets (barring earth of course) that might be favourable to life. Let’s start packing.
19) Coldplay was definitely talking about this in their song – A Sky Full Of Stars.
That’s why I love that band so much.
20) And finally – colours of the galaxy!
Because nothing is prettier than our universe!
