Remember 13 Going On 30? Where Jennifer Garner’s character makes a tiny little wish (in explosive outrage) on her birthday and the next thing she knows is, she’s an adult – a THIRTY-year-old (full-fledged) adult! What I really wondered throughout the movie is that the emotions and reactions she goes through during the course of the movie are the same for a teen and an adult. Because no matter how many hardships life throws at us, we’ll just be as naive. Here are 20 emotions that we all might have/had at 13 AND at 30:
1) You try and act all innocent when a guy tries to give you sexual innuendos.
2) Or maybe you’re just too inexperienced to understand those innuendos.
3) When you kinda feel for that guy whose younger than you.
4) And sometimes, you’re not being kiddish – you’re asking a very simple question…
5) Even though it’s been 100 years since you hit puberty, you still fail to understand the real purpose of your boobs!
6) And no matter how much older you become, cussing is just not for you!
7) Then there are times you have to prove your maturity to people, who fail to take you seriously.
8) Your perception about boys doesn’t really change – whether you are 13 or 30!
9) It’s always the reverse thing. When you’re old you want to be young and vice versa!
10) There is ALWAYS a fear of your parents!
11) Your girly talks will totally have a childish tinge to them.
12) Also, you’re not very comfortable with ALL things sexual. Boundaries, dude?
13) All boys seem “different” in the beginning.
14) Then you have this really cool sarcasm that seems so innocent.
15) You’ve always wanted to be in love with someone who can also be your best friend.
16) You still have the optimism of a kid – “Goodbye, until we meet again.”
17) Along with the unfiltered speech that comes out once in a while!
18) Pillow fights never get old!
19) Some facts remain the same at every age – you know it too damn well!
20) Finally, at each stage you love all things sweet.
We never really change. The older we grow, the more experienced we become, but most of the times we feel like recoiling back to those younger years. Don’t we?
