Just the other day, I got a chance to hang out with the super fun Emraan Hashmi and Amyra Dastur, who have a movie coming out together soon – Mr. X! And I’ve gotta say, Emraan is one of the most mysterious men in Bollywood (we still don’t know too much about him, do we?), so I couldn’t give up the opportunity to ask him a bunch of random questions so that we could all get to know him better 🙂 Check it out!
1) If you could actually be invisible, what would you do?
Emraan:
I’ll say this very politically incorrect statement – I’d rob a bank… it’s been a childhood dream. I think we’ve all had a thought at some point in our lives. It would be a lot easier if I was invisible. I’d run for my life after, as long as I get to that locker without anybody seeing me. Some other things also which we can’t talk about right now.
Amyra:
I think I’ll become a world-class assassin. Scratch a few people off a list.
2) What is your greatest fear?
Emraan:
A serious answer for that would be losing the people I love. Another would be my Fridays not turning out too well for me. I always hope and pray that the Friday is where we’re popping the champagne bottle in the evening.
Amyra:
I guess, somehow watching my dream not come true, in a way.
3) You were supposed to write a book about kissing, right?
Emraan:
Yes, it would take some time but I am just trying to have more body of work, probably fifty films where I’m doing it continuously.
Okay! *waiting*
4) How do your parents feel about kissing, are they okay with it?
Emraan:
No. Obviously, the kind of cinema that they have seen. But they had their son who was doing this, it was terrible for them. It was “traumatic.” But now they’ve gotten used to it. Also, for my wife. It was very traumatic for all of us.
5) You got featured on Chacha Chaudhary, did you son Ayaan see that?
Emraan:
I’m going to take that book and show it to my son. It’s released now, it launched in Delhi. I’ll make him read – he can read now. He’s just kind of about putting sentences together. I have solved some cases with Chacha Chaudhary.
6) Does he understand what daddy does?
Emraan:
Kind of. He understands acting. He got a bit confused in the beginning, he didn’t understand what shooting meant. Because I confused him even more when I took him out on a set where I was shooting with, “shooting” with Sanjay (Dutt) on a film called Ungli. We had guns on the set, he’s like that what kind of shooting is this? He didn’t understand it. But he knows that daddy is an actor but he hasn’t seen any of my films yet. Thankfully, but he’s going to see the U/A, Mr. X movie this week.
7) What is the first thing you thought of when you woke up this morning?
Emraan:
Aah… promotions! I love promotions. Not so much actually. It just gets a bit hectic. I was thinking it’s going to be a nice, easy day in the office.
8) If you could eat one meal for the rest of your life, what would it be?
Amyra:
Sushi!
Emraan:
Pizza!
9) What was the last movie you watched?
Emraan:
Whiplash.
Amyra:
NH 10.
