As we know, every zodiac sign has a few traits that they commonly possess (with variations, of course). Aries is the zodiac sign for those born between the 21st of March and the 21st of April. The first sign in the zodiac, this sign is known to be dominating, ever so optimistic, impulsive and highly competitive. Whether you fancy one or are dating one, here are 7 things you need to know about an Aries woman:

1. Dynamic and full of energy

As this sign is ruled by Mars and is a fire sign, Aries women are filled with energy. They live life at a pace most people find hard to catch up with. No two days are the same with her and if you can’t keep up, she might just lose interest.

2. Impulsive

Aries women are known to be absolutely impulsive. Whether it’s climbing a rock or chopping their long locks off, you know these women will do it an instant! Regretting it is a different thing altogether because they like to live in the moment. Be ready for a roller coaster ride with this woman.

3. Honest and Outspoken

If you’re the kind that likes to ask someone for their opinion but are hoping to hear what you want to hear, then be wary, because this is exactly the opposite of what the Aries woman will give you. She’s outspoken, extremely honest – even to the point of sometimes coming across as rude. Not one to mince words and often true to her heart, she is the best person to approach for some honest advice.

4. Fiercly Loyal

These women make great friends. Not only are they honest but are also extremely loyal. Once they love, they love hard and will always be there for their friends.

5. They are like coconuts!

Tough on the outside but sensitive and emotional on the inside. They may come across as cold but are extremely warm and affectionate once you get to know them.

6. Extremely independent

These women will not listen to anyone. They live life on their own terms and don’t let anybody else dictate it for them. They enjoy their own company and often are the first ones to try something new or take the road less travelled. The flipside of this independence is that they can often be impatient.

7. Passionate lovers

Being a fire sign and dominating as she is, an Aries woman loves to take over between the sheets. Passionate and creative, nothing is too outlandish for her. Be sure to spice up your game because these women sure like it spicy!

And there you have it! We just made approaching an Aries woman so much easier for you 😛

Let me tell you – this year’s Cannes Film Festival has been absolutely dazzling, especially when it comes to our Indian stars! I’ve been glued to my screen watching the red carpet unfold, and I’m still not over how our Bollywood celebs have been turning heads and making statements at the 78th edition of this prestigious event. From newcomers making unforgettable debuts to veterans showcasing their evolution, the Indian presence at Cannes 2025 has been nothing short of spectacular.

Nitanshi Goel Makes Memorable Cannes Debut

Nitanshi Goel at Cannes

Who would’ve thought that the girl we just discovered in “Laapataa Ladies” would so quickly become the talk of Cannes? Nitanshi Goel has seriously upped her game for her first-ever appearance at the festival! First stepping onto the red carpet in this jaw-dropping black and gold gown by Jade by MK – you know, the one with that mermaid silhouette and intricate embroidery that probably took weeks to complete. I couldn’t help but admire how confidently she carried that tulle train!

Nitanshi Goel at Cannes second look

But honestly? It was her second look that had me and pretty much everyone else reaching for tissues. Draped in this dreamy pink and white lehenga-saree (which somehow managed to look both traditional and contemporary at once), Nitanshi paid the sweetest tribute to Bollywood’s golden era. Her hairstylist deserves an award for incorporating those tiny framed portraits of Rekha, Madhubala, Meena Kumari, and Nargis into her hairdo. What a beautiful way to say, “I stand on the shoulders of legends” without saying a word!

Jacqueline Fernandez Honored at Women in Cinema Initiative

Jacqueline Fernandez at Cannes

You’ve got to hand it to Jackie – she knows how to represent India on the global stage! Being recognized at the Red Sea Film Festival’s “Women in Cinema” initiative is no small feat, especially when you’re standing shoulder to shoulder with just six other influential women from around the world.

Have you seen her crimson gown moment yet? That Nicole Felicia Couture creation with those dramatic puffed sleeves had me gasping! There’s something so unapologetically bold about a woman who can rock a bright red dress with diamonds that catch every flash of the paparazzi cameras. The classic red lip paired with winged liner was just chef’s kiss.

And just when we thought she’d played her fashion trump card, Jacqueline stepped out in what I can only describe as fashion from the future – this avant-garde white shirt dress literally dripping with silver chains. It somehow managed to look both structured and fluid at the same time. Plus, her caption about championing female storytellers just warmed my heart. She’s clearly at Cannes for both style AND substance.

Urvashi Rautela’s Bold Fashion Statements

Urvashi Rautela at Cannes

Oh, Urvashi! Never one to blend into the background, right? Why go subtle when you can wear what looks like a rainbow explosion designed by Michael Cinco? I’m still trying to wrap my head around her strapless gown with those vibrant blues, reds, and yellows that seemed to pay homage to Mexican art.

But let’s be real – we NEED to talk about that parrot clutch! I almost spilled my coffee when I read it costs Rs 4,68,064! Can you imagine carrying the equivalent of a down payment on your arm? That crystal-studded Judith Leiber creation might seem quirky to some, but it perfectly captures Urvashi’s playful approach to fashion. Love her or question her choices, you simply cannot ignore her – and isn’t that what fashion at Cannes is all about?

Innovative Fashion Takes Center Stage

If there’s one thing that makes me proud as an Indian fashion enthusiast, it’s seeing our celebrities thinking outside the box while still honoring our rich cultural heritage.

Parul Gulati at Cannes

Take Parul Gulati, for instance. As someone who’s built her brand around hair extensions, what could be more authentic than walking the Cannes red carpet in a dress MADE OF HAIR? Sounds bizarre on paper, but the execution by ITRH² was nothing short of artistic genius. Her follow-up gold Banarasi tissue saree look (dipped in resin, no less!) proves she’s not a one-trick pony but a serious fashion innovator.

Nancy Tyagi at Cannes

And can we please give Nancy Tyagi a standing ovation? In an era of fast fashion, this woman sourced fabric from our very own Seelampur market and spent an entire month hand-creating her pearl-embellished mini dress with that flowing beige cape. It’s sustainable fashion with a distinctly Indian touch, and I’m here for every bit of it!

The Bharat Pavilion: India’s Cultural Hub at Cannes

Anupam Kher at Cannes

Behind all the glamour and fashion moments lies something deeper – our growing cultural footprint at this globally significant festival. The launch of the Bharat Pavilion with veterans like Anupam Kher and Shekhar Kapur in attendance signals that India isn’t just sending beautiful people to walk red carpets; we’re serious about showcasing our cinema too.

Tanvi: The Great poster

I’m particularly excited about “Homebound” and “Tanvi: The Great” premiering here. There’s something deeply satisfying about seeing Indian stories being told on platforms where the whole world is watching, isn’t there?

Looking Forward

I know many of us were disappointed not seeing Alia Bhatt at the opening (my Instagram feed was full of sad fan comments!). But word has it that she’ll make it for the closing ceremony once she wraps up shooting for “Love And War.” Something tells me she’s saving her best look for last!

As the festival continues, I can’t help but feel a surge of pride watching our Indian stars shine so brightly at Cannes 2025. They’re not just wearing pretty clothes; they’re telling stories, honoring our heritage, pushing creative boundaries, and ensuring the world knows that Indian cinema and fashion are forces to be reckoned with.

What’s your favorite Indian celebrity look from Cannes this year? I’m personally torn between Nitanshi’s tribute to Bollywood legends and Parul’s innovative hair dress. Either way, it’s a wonderful time to see Indian creativity making waves on the French Riviera!
