Fellow bloggers, if you’ve survived these past two weeks of fashion mayhem and are in need of a few zzz’s, then this post is right up your alley. Actually, it’s meant for anyone who’s been battling those late night Pretty Little Liars marathons, midweek drinking or when it’s catching up with bae time over the phone. Having good skin has the power to elevate your mood, your outfit and your sanity, amirite girls? If you’re quite like me and need that minimum 7-8 hours of sleep to keep you from looking like a panda, then you’d want to check out these ways to get your skin back to it’s radiant self!
1. Tea Bags
Suffer from swelling and puffy eyes? Dip two tea bags in cool water and apply them over your eyes. Keep them for about 5-7 min and you’ll see a world of difference. If you happen to be a green tea chugger and have run out, then you can keep two spoons in your freezer for about 20 min and immediately rest them over your eyes. You’ll not only refresh your eyes but you’ll feel refreshed too.
2. Serum Me Beautiful
So the minute fashion week got over you know what I did? I took out my stash of serums, moisturisers and creams. Face serums work wonders for your skin. And while you’re catching up on your hours of sleep, use an overnight serum guys. The Dermalogica serum contains argan and rose oils that help stimulate cellular repair overnight. Do this for a week and you’ll love the way your skin feels. What a better way to snooze and get smooth skin all in one!
3. DIYs FTW
We know that oats are healthy for our body but they’re also beneficial to our skin! Mix a spoonful of oats with some honey and gently rub it over your skin. It improves the skin texture and is a natural cleanser that removes any residual dirt and oils. You’re one step closer to glowing skin!
4. Exfoliate
Exfoliation is one of the most important steps to glowing skin. If your skin is sensitive like mine, opt for a cream based exfoliant like Vichy’s softening cream. It cleanses the pores and makes your skin look refreshed and vibrant. Kiss that dull skin goodbye.
5. Moisturiser
If you aren’t moisturising your skin everyday, you should rethink your priorities. Za’s moisturiser not only looks pink and cute but it boosts the skin’s hydration and gives you a soft glow.
6. The Two C’s
Now if you absolutely have to apply some coverup, use a corrector before the concealer to hide those tired sagging eyes. The concealer will even out dark circles and the corrector will hide and brighten the dark areas. Try using a peach colour to neutralise the veins under eyes for a fresher look. 7. Highlighter
Highlighting your cheekbones can cause a distraction from those puffy eyes and dark circles. A little shimmer goes a long way. So whether it’s brunch or date night be sure to highlight that face!
Hello new skin, nice to meet you.
