Of all the Bollywood celebrities around, Anushka Sharma is the one of the rare few who comes across as a girl’s girl – you know what I mean? She talks like us, dresses like us and at times, even though I haven’t met her personally, I feel like she’d be fun to hangout with – she’s real. Ok enough of all that, what’s more real than anything else is her style. Sure some of her outfits might have bombed in the past, but Sharma’s come a long way, with her films as well as her fashion and we can’t be more excited (more style candy for us!) What we’ve noticed with her style is that it’s very relatable and some of it, you’ll realise you already have in your closet – take a look…
1. Age old distressed jeans
If these jeans aren’t a part of your wardrobe, they definitely should be! Anushka didn’t make them complicated either – paired with a basic shirt and a pair of strappy heels, this outfit is the easiest to recreate; but we’re sure you’ve already tried it before.
2. The basic tee
We all have these and generally, we think they’re too basic to wear out. If the material is as good as Anushka’s tee in the picture below, it’s more than ok to wear it with a pair of trousers or jeans and ballet flats to go nonchalantly cool.
3. The parent approved dress
This went in my list of outfits you could wear when you meet your boyfriend’s parents, and for good reason! It features a high neck, and generous sleeves. And if you know what’s good for you (more so your parents) you’d have one of these in your closet.
4. The essential jumpsuit
A jumpsuit is something that can go from casual to formal just by adding a pair of heels. Anushka’s jumpsuit is pretty simple and could even be a tee and trousers pretending to be one jumpsuit – have you tried that, I know I have!
5. The summer shorts
Summer’s here which means your white shorts are too! If you’re a true summer lover, you’ve already tried and tested the white on white look and by now, you know it’s a winner.
6. The airport staple
If your outfit looked like any celebrity’s at the airport, it would be Anushka Sharma’s. Sneakers, jeans, a scarf and a cap (bed head, who?) – it’s simple and is the combination most of us reach out for when travelling.
7. Movietime must-have
This is possible my favourite one of the lot – why? Because once I saw it, I’ve recreated it about 200 times. Black shorts, a tank and a black kimono style cover up, simple doesn’t begin to describe this outfit. And yes, I found all the separates in my wardrobe. P.S. If you like it, it works great with jeans too (for those unwaxed days).
So of these 7 outfits, how many do you already have in your wardrobe? Be honest now…
