Do you ever feel like your wardrobe is packed full of clothes, but you still have nothing to wear! We’ve all been there at some point. Here are some pointers on how to avoid feeling that way.
- 70% of your wardrobe should be basic. By that I mean, white shirt, a pair of well fitted jeans, black trousers, white shirt, black jacket etc.
2. Buy only 1 or 2 ‘trends’ per season. No more. “Fashion fades, Style is eternal” – Yves Saint Laurent.
3. Do not invest in more than a few pieces at one time. Our mind is overwhelmed with choices, and we then begin to buy items that we do not need, or worst still, do not suit us!
4. Just like your grocery list, make a list of what you need and as far as possible buy only those items. If you like something other than what you have penned, click a picture and sleep over it. Chances are you may not go back to pick it up!
5. Try to keep a gap of 2 to 3 months between two shopping sprees. Our taste evolves. Sometimes we may not love something as much as we do today. Give yourself time to breath and learn.
