The #AIBRoast is slowly but surely becoming a national issue. Just yesterday I told you Aamir Khan‘s reasons for condemning the show and now we have Anushka Sharma and Neil Bhoopalam giving their two cents about the topic.
At the trailer launch of NH10, Anushka was asked what she thought of the derogatory remarks about women at the show and Anushka said:
I thought the show was in good humour. It wasn’t meant to be taken very seriously. That’s the way I look at it. Now this is my opinion, someone else is free to have their own opinion. That’s the beauty of living in a democratic setup.
This is when Neil asked, “Are you guys talking about the AIB video?” and made the most kickass comment about it. He said:
I love the way this is so hush hush and taboo ki naam bhi nahi le sakte hain. It’s damn chu*** what’s going on right now. I honestly feel what the f*ck is going on ya!? Our country has so much to offer. There are far greater and serious issues that are happening around the world, right? When anyone creates something, it’s art. I don’t know why our country has become so sensitive ki behn**** nahi keh sakte but flying Scorpios are fine. I’m sorry, I just thought I’d get it out there.
Anushka resonated the view:
The issue is being stretched way too much and it is not needed. Like he said, there are far more greater things that people can be dealing with and fighting for at this moment. This isn’t even a tiny speck on it.

You have my heart, Neil… Thank you!
