Over the weekend, good friends Varun Dhawan and Arjun Kapoor were spotted late at night at their mentor and producer-director Karan Johar‘s place. What seemed like a party was actually a work meeting. From what I hear, Varun and Arjun might be in the running for the Ram Lakhan remake that KJo is producing. The film was announced sometime ago; however, it had been on hold since then because there wasn’t really a consensus on who should play the leads. It seems that KJo initially wanted Sidharth Malhotra and Ranbir Kapoor to play the parts, but that isn’t really happening.
Given the fact that Arjun is such a huge Ram Lakhan fan, he has been hoping for Karan to cast him in the remake and has spoken to him about it too. I’ve also heard the actor has taken the failure of his last release, Tevar, to his heart, and Karan gave him a pep talk of sorts and asked him not to let it bring him down.
We’ll have to wait and see whether it works out for Varun and Arjun, but in the meantime, tell us what you think about this pairing! They’re good friends off-screen too, so this should be interesting.
