2015 is finally ready to see a mighty weekend ahead with Baby and Dolly Ki Doli all set to hit the box office. Though there were high hopes from Tevar, sadly; this wasn’t the case. However, both Baby and Dolly Ki Doli carry great vibes that promise to attract large audiences.
Let’s begin with Baby. The film has positive reports and those who have seen it already vouch for it as one of the classiest thrillers in Bollywood. The combination of Akshay Kumar and Neeraj Pandey (after Special 26) has ensured that the film stays in the news for all the right reasons. There is a good deal of positivity around the film and since it comes at a time when terrorism seems to be on the prowl in many parts of the world – Baby couldn’t have been more topical.
The film is all set to make an even bigger opening than Akshay’s last release: Entertainment and should top Holiday as well. Even if the opening day collections fall in the range of his critically and commercially successful movie – Holiday, it would do well on Republic Day, which falls on Monday; resulting in a bountiful four day long weekend. The film has all the makings of a biggie, especially for everyone involved in the film!
On the other hand Dolly Ki Doli has a super vivacious feel to it and this should certainly appeal to most audiences. Though Baby is a major challenge at the multiplexes, Dolly Ki Doli appears to be a fun film that should keep family audiences interested. The film should open on more or less the same lines as Sonam Kapoor‘s last release Khoobsurat. However, it would also benefit from Republic Day weekend, which should keep it going for rest of the weekend.
All in all, a positive weekend ahead for the movies!
