Most of us have a little bit of the Bollywood keeda within us. In some way or the other, Bollywood is somehow woven into the fabric of our lives. January being a month when most film award ceremonies hold stage, I thought of conducting my very own version of a Bollywood survey amongst my peers. Haven’t we all wished to be a part of a typical Bollywood flick? Drawing inspiration from this thought, I met up with a few friends and here’s what I asked them:
Given a chance, which character would you play in a 2014 Bollywood film and why?
A choice of a “Bollywood Rockin’ Role”! Pretty simple, isn’t it? But I got some really quirky replies which you all MUST read!
Anjali Barot, 22, who is consumed by wanderlust said:
Kangana Ranaut in Queen: As I’d get to explore Europe all for free and in fact even get paid to act. On a serious note, I loved the story, her character and the whole movie in general!
Hey do let me tag along!
Raihan Muhimtule, 20 shot back:
Saahil Prem in Ragini MMS 2: For the obvious reason that it has Sunny Leone in it.
Hmm… honesty is indeed the best policy Raihan!
Anjali Sathyamurthy, 18 who was rather quick with her reply, said:
Sonakshi Sinha in Lootera: Because she plays the role of a sick person and since I’m genuinely sick most of the year, I wouldn’t have to put in any extra effort!
Saving energy surely is the need of the hour!
Yoginya Iyer, 17, said with an evident blush:
Deepika Padukone in Happy New Year: Romancing SRK is every girl’s dream. So is mine. I used to think nobody is perfect, until Shah Rukh proved me wrong.
I totally second that Yoginya!
Vidhi Shah, 18 said:
Alia Bhatt in Humpty Sharma Ki Dulhania: Because she swears, drinks, likes to party, is bold and a spoilt brat. She’s a rebel and so she’s relatable. And she beats a boy in a drinking competition! That’s THE dream! I’d definitely be her!
Wow! Good on you, Vidhi!
Advait Kumar, 18 feels:
Randeep Hooda in Highway: The movie first of all is flawless. And you can’t ask for anything better than traveling across states reveling in the beauty of nature and taking part in such an adventure. Though challenging, it would be like a dream come true.
Life is a highway, isn’t it, Advait?
Mayuri Mulay, 22 said:
Priyanka Chopra in Mary Kom: I’m a big fan of PC as she’s a versatile actor who chooses “different” and “eye catching” roles. It would also help me lose some weight and stay fit. #2015Resolution
May the force be with you, Mayuri!
Aditya Warrier added:
Arjun Kapoor in 2 States: Because Alia Bhatt. Period.
Very to the point, I must say!
Ankita Tandon, 18 had this cool thing to say:
Parineeti Chopra in Daawat-e-Ishq: That’s because she fights against the concept of dowry and gets to work with Karan Wahi and Aditya Roy Kapoor! Also, food is my life so I think this would be the only movie which wouldn’t demand that the heroine lose weight but instead experience a gastronomical delight!
Eat to live or live to eat? Tough call, Ankita!
Aravind Natarajan, 20 said:
Salman Khan in Kick: Because it would give me a chance to do anything crazy and get away with it by saying ‘isme kick hay yaar’.
Hope you get a kick out of that, Aravind!
The list is in no way conclusive as there are still a lot of movies to choose from!
Would love to hear from you guys, so drop in a comment below and make sure you keep it original!
