Tevar had a below average week at the box office, what with just around 35 crores coming in. Now these should have ideally been the weekend collections for this film, considering the fact that Arjun Kapoor and Sonakshi Sinha have done a much better job with their previous films. Moreover, the promotion was quite strong and hence it warranted a bigger opening and better sustenance. To the film’s credit, it didn’t crash during the weekdays. Still, after just a decent weekend, the film could have gained further only if it had enjoyed a super-strong week, which didn’t seem plausible after the kind of reviews that it received.
Everyone associated with the film are moving on to their newer assignments now, with formal announcements to be made shortly. As for Manoj Bajpayee, he has received the most praise for his villainous act and it would be a delight to see more of him in time.
Meanwhile, PK continues to have some level of audience in the fourth week also. The film has crossed the 330 crore mark and would end its lifetime run at around 335 crores. A serious all Time Blockbuster.
