“Believe in the God, who created us; not the one whom we have created,” said an alien aka PK in Rajkumar Hirani‘s latest release. The movie questions the existence of those torch-bearers of religion, who do nothing but fool people in the name of God and God men. While many of us liked these awakening thoughts that the film evoked in us, some viewers simply lost the plot. Several people even protested against PK and requested for it to be banned. In fact, various spiritual gurus also came forward and shared their negative comments about the flick. And that’s quite surprising as the movie is based on incidences exactly like these!
Many are not aware that there’s one spiritual guru who has been well aware of the film’s storyline since its scripting stage. And that is none other than Sri Sri Ravi Shankar of the ‘Art of Living’ foundation. A major chunk of PK has been shot in his ashram and he had no qualms with that.
Talking about it, Hirani dished out a statement:
Sri Sri Ravi Shankar is a courageous man. He gave me the location to shoot, knowing well that this is a film on god and fake godmen. He is beyond pettiness of religion. He can see the larger picture. I admire his work and have tremendous respect for him. We will be showing him the film soon.
It will be definitely quite interesting to see his response after he sees the movie! I have a feeling that he will like it. What do you think?
