This morning I stumbled upon this adorable video on my Facebook page and couldn’t help but think about the never-ending debate about violence, inequality, feminism etc. In my opinion, this video says a lot. And I’m sure there are going to be many opinions about it, just as there are for most viral videos.
Some people might ask, what about when women get violent? Others might add, we are told to treat women “gently” but if they want equality, why should they be treated any differently than boys?
But whatever your gender might be, this video shows above all that violence isn’t inherent, no one is born with it. In most cases its external factors that a person is exposed to, that eventually lead to violent behaviour…
We know that there is a rampant rising graph of violence against women in our country, from sexual to domestic violence. This video is very much on the lines of the Vogue Empower campaign. Check it out and let me know what you think in the comments below!
