It’s the biggest party night of the year – New Year’s Eve! And there are certain things you’re definitely going to need to pay attention to this year to make the most of your huge night out. Have a look at our checklist and make sure you tick all the boxes – after all, you’re going to have to welcome 2015 in style. 🙂
Psst – if you’ve found yourself without any plans this year, you might want to consider Social Offline at Haus Khas Village. They’ve got a fun night lined up!
1) Bring a designated driver!
This is the most important person, and he must RSVP for the night! Needless to say, make sure one of your teetotaler friends is driving, or – if you have none – arrange in advance for transportation throughout the night. Do not drive if you will be drinking!
2) Ditch the heels
If you are someone who loves to heel up but wants to sway to the music all night, then your best bet is to keep away from the sky high stilettos and opt for wedge heels.
3) Don’t skip the bling
You’re going to have to add a little sparkle to your ensemble to make sure at least one part of your outfit has some form of bling. It’s the new year – go all out!
4) Make sure you dance
It’s the last night of the year, so make sure you hit the dance floor. Dance the night away with Social Offline’s in-house DJs, as the stellar place will be split into two party levels – The Commercial and The Techno.
5) Have a shot!
Go ahead, have the shots. At Social, you can jumpstart the night with a line up of their signature shots and cocktails such as Hot Shoddy, Item Bomb and – of course – the most popular Dawa Daru.
6) Eat!
You’re going to need to soak up the alcohol, so remember to eat in between the drinking and dancing. Social Offline has a spread of celebratory eats to bid goodbye to the year gone by. From the fuss free China Box to munchies oozing with melted cheese, you can’t really ask for more.
7) Deck yourself out with some party favours
No celebration is complete without confetti, favors and noisemakers. Social Offline will have a bunch of exclusive stickers, so help yourself to those if you’re partying there.
8) Don’t forget to take photos
Embrace the New Year spirit and pose for the shutter bugs while you are busy making memories with your friends.
9) Make a toast!
When midnight strikes, take some time out to toast to the new year. If you’re at Social, make your way to their balcony terrace to enjoy a spectacular view while proposing a toast- “May all your joy be true joy and may all your pain be champagne.”
10) End it on a sweet note
Don’t skip dessert 🙂 To end the celebrations on a sweet note, indulge yourself with the ultimate Sticky Toffee Pudding and Watermelon Caipirojka Gateau from Social.
